Come for the Primary, stay for the secondary and maybe skip High School. Early Years, Primary & Secondary:: The faculty across these levels is exceptional鈥攄edicated, skilled, and truly the backbone of the institution. Mr. Bailey鈥檚 leadership fosters a happy, strong, supportive environment, and the team鈥檚 commitment to the kids is palpable, across all levels. My little one has had the most exceptional class teachers and so did my older one. Kind, considerate, all willing to go the extra mile for their children, the kids are thriving and happy at school. Ms Mbuthia, Ms.Van Niekerk, Ms.Bushell, Ms.Mbaire, Ms.Aluoch...the list of fabulous teachers is never ending in these years. The kids are living the dream, tbh, lots of fun outings organized by the school, fun days and events organized by FAB. A happening theater group, the Braeburn plays are absolutely riveting to watch, dreamy visuals and the talent showcased is stellar. The school has its flaws but they're minor in comparison to what works and works so well for the kids. The energy here is comforting and knowing your kid never wants to miss a day of school, is a testament to the environment at school . High School: The dream ends here. While there are certainly fantastic teachers in High School, the administrative and managerial approach is concerning. First year of High School has been problematic, I've bought my son most of his text books at the end of first term cos he finally told me he had none, no communication from the school so we were blindsided that there was a shortage, he probably has just 2 to 3 school issued text books. We were asked to check Google classroom for textbooks or borrow the textbook from the library, when we raised the issue with the school. I, to date, don't know if textbooks are supposed to.be school issued or we're supposed to buy them ourselves, if we need to buy them then all we need is a communication fron the school to do so and which book to buy, too, He has 3 external tutors right now and possibly a 4th next year ,after doing so well academically with no tutoring at all, all through his school years before. If a few of the students are out of school, representing the school somewhere, you're still told by management that syllabus missed has to be covered by the child independently, there is no protocol in place to integrate them back into their academics. Dialogue with parents and the management often becomes defensive rather than collaborative, leading to genuine concerns being "managed" rather than addressed. Overall, the onus is always on the kids to go the extra mile or the parents to intervene and support because if you call on the school to do so, you'll be told the ball is in your court in 'management-speak'. High school here is IMO for the self-motivated learners 鈥攂ut for those needing structured support, the system is seriously lacking.
Braeburn is not a nice school because of most the teachers that aren't good with the children, and also they need to fix their KS3 bathrooms and get cleaner water.

Fantastic institution. My daughter attended this school for 2,5 years until we had to leave the country. They pay close attention to the academic work as well as the children"s wellbeing. The enviroment is very nice and safe and they have a very strong anti-bulling policy..I recommend Braeburn Gitanga 100%.

Loved the cozy nature of the theatre and the Engage event was amazing. What was most interesting is how much the place has changed and improved since I was last there.

During holiday weekends they used to open their doors to the public to use their basketball courts, don't know if they still do, but those were good old days. The indoor basketball court could use a bit of some improvement though.
